Desktop
How to install
- Open the .dmg and drag HotSpot into Applications.
- Launch it from Applications — the apps are signed & notarized by Apple, so they open normally.
“Windows protected your PC”? (unsigned app)
- Download and double-click the Setup .exe.
- A blue “Windows protected your PC” (SmartScreen) box appears — this is normal, the app just isn’t code-signed.
- Click the small More info link.
- Click the Run anyway button that appears.
- Continue through the installer as usual.
How to run an AppImage
- Download the .AppImage file.
- Make it executable — right-click → Properties → Permissions → tick Allow executing as program, or in a terminal:
chmod +x HotSpot-x86_64.AppImage - Double-click it, or run
./HotSpot-x86_64.AppImage
